Ecovacs is a major brand in the still very closed world of household robot manufacturers. We recently announced their new entry-level robots, the Deebot 500 / 501 / 502 and then mentioned the very upcoming arrival of higher-end models. This has now been done, with two high-performance robots that should logically be among the best in their range.
Our test of the Deebot Ozmo 900 has already shown us how Ecovacs robots benefit from both advanced technologies and superior manufacturing quality, so we look forward to discovering the successors to the O900 and O930: the Deebot Ozmo 920 and Ozmo 950. In the meantime, let’s see what this is all about and why these robots should, in all likelihood, become stars of their category.
Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo 920: an efficient and intelligent vacuum cleaner
With a brand new, much thinner design and only 9.3 cm high, the Deebot Ozmo 920 can now access more places and slip more easily under chests of drawers, beds and other hard-to-reach places. A very good point because it is true that robots over 10 cm often have a hard time getting around.
More compact, but also more efficient, this new robot vacuum cleaner delivers a 21% more powerful suction than the Ozmo 900 (power at 24 CFM according to Vacuum Wars an independent and recognized tester, the best ever measured to date!) and manages to climb obstacles up to 2 cm high. Its floating brush has also been optimized, with the addition of rubber lamellae as we have already seen on other models, which promises us a uncompromising dirt collection.
Their navigation has finally been greatly improved with the Smart technology Navi™ 3.0 and an even more precise laser. At the application level, Ecovacs now offers the possibility of mapping up to 3 floors, which should interest more than one.
Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo 950: the best Deebot of all time?
Taking all the characteristics of its little brother, the Deebot Ozmo 950 would be the best robot ever manufactured by Ecovacs. The first American tests are going in this direction and the Ozmo 950 even beats the Roborock S6 tested last week, but also the iRobot i7, which is much more expensive. It makes you dream!
Also equipped with Smart navigation technologies Navi™ and washing Ozmo™, the Deebot Ozmo 950 differs from the 920 by the addition of a third suction power, but above all a 5200 mAh Li-ion battery allowing it to work for up to 200 minutes! Never before seen in the world of vacuum cleaners, the most durable robots such as the Roborock S6 reaching up to 180 minutes. It will therefore be ideal for large surfaces and multi-storey houses, since it can also map up to three of them.
